OH MY GOSH so I didn't realize how long it has been since I last wrote on here and gave all of my lovely stalkers an update on my life.

Everyone says once you graduate from high school your life changes like crazy... I didn't realize everything would happen so fast. Let me tell you, life is absolutley insane and I have a lot to write about with everything that has happened since summer!

The Badgers Moved

First and foremost my family moved! After living in California for 18 years and living in our home for almost 16, my dad found a new job and we decided to relocate to Southern Utah! Luckily, I was up at school when most of this happened so I didn't quite have to help with the moving part but while I was there during the summer I did help with cleaning the house which basically is like that one video on Youtube where that one guy is imitating a lady yelling about cleaning the house becuase company is coming... BASICALLY we had to keep our house as clean as Disney on Ice with everyone walking through and viewing it. The move has been fantastic for our family and I am so grateful for this opportunity for change!

Everyone's Getting Married or Leaving!!!

They don't joke around when they say BYU-Idaho is more like "BYU-I Do" I never really thought this would apply to me within my first year of college but boy was I wrong. I have had a total of 10 roommates-2 roomates from my first semester have gotten married, and two left on a mission and then 3 from my second semester will be married by the end of April. So far that's over half of my roommates who are now gone forever or for an inconvenient amount of time and I won't be able to room with them again. I guess I'm just mad becuase it's inconvenient for me to find new roommates every semseter but I'll get over it eventually! To add on to that, 2 more childhood friends have gotten engaged, and some more friends from school decided they wanted to tie the knot as well AND my brother decided to join in on the fun and propose to his beautiful fiance. Change is good and exciting especially when it comes to marriage but, I'm okay to hold off on that excitment for quite a bit longer.

I Dyed My Hair

So this really isn't that big of a deal but I feel like it's worth talking about. I've had bright blonde hair my whole life and I LOVED it! It was super fun being blonde and looking amazing in black clothing because of it BUT I love change and I needed to take some kind of control back into my life. I have always wondered what I would look like with brown hair and if it would look good with my blue eyes. After snapchatting everyone I knew and relying on my never faithful twitter followers, my roommate (who's ditching me for marriage) finally convinced me to go for it. I'm so glad I did because being brunette is the best. A couple things I learned though...

1. DON'T USE BOX DYE

- box dye ruins your hair and luckily I only used that mistake once. It also (from my experience) doesn't work that well. Spend a little more money and go get it done correctly by a stylist OR have an amaxing hair stylist/family friend hook you up with dye to do it on your own! But you might not have as cool of people in your life so good luck with that last one!!

2. Don't listen to the haters

- Yes it's true my grandpa HATES my hair right now and definitely lets me know it. Luckily my mom and dad raised my to be a strong and confident woman who doesn't care what her grandpa says about her hair. (Grandpa if you're reading this, your hate is only making me stronger) My mom also wasn't quite on board with it either... I asked her when I got home from school if she would help me redye it and she said "I'm not feeding into your addiction." IT'S NOT HEROINE REBECCA I'M FINE!!!!

3. It's more work than you think

- When I say it's more work, I mean the "now I have to update my instagram more so people know what I actually look like" and the "now I have to wear other colors than black so I don't look full emo". Other than that its super fun because I feel like I can go more bold with my makeup when I actually wear it!

I Got a Job

Searching for a job is probably the worst thing ever nowadays because everything is online. You'd think this would make it easier but there's no longer that face to face recognition and first impression when you turn in your resume before they even decide if they want to interview you. I searched low and high for a job when I was at school and was so unsuccessful it was discouraging... I think because of the school I go to everyone is so motivated to get their crap done that there are not a lot of decent jobs available. ANYWAYS in the winter I live at home becuase I'm off track for my school (they have 3 semesters and you only go to 2, I go in the Fall and Spring) I had to find a job in the new place my family moved. I applied and sent in over 40 applications, a couple weeks in I finally got a call from a contracting HR solution agency for a recycling sorter postition, hahah I told you I applied everywhere.. They interviewed me (fell in love instantly with me) and offered me a couple different jobs. I decided to become a Housekeeper at the Hyatt Hotel.

I had no idea what I was getting into... Call me a baby but this is one of the hardest jobs I have ever had and it is the most mentally and physically exhausting thing to do day after day. I love the pay though and the staff has been very welcoming and understanding of my school schedule so everything has worked out amazing. I figured I could do anything for a short amount of time and the experience would be worth it in the long run.

I Bought My First Car

I feel like I keep telling this story but... I had plans to go to Africa this summer for another Humanitarian trip for 3 weeks but my brother decided to get engaged and plan the wedding over the time I would have been in Africa, so I cancelled my trip reluctantly and decided to by a car instead! Meet Ellie the Elantra :) I guess I'll have to limit myself to more local adventures for now, but Africa is still in my future plans along with so much more!

I Changed my Major

I originally started college thinking I was going to be that one person who would never change my major becuase I was so confident in what I was doing. My first major was Business Management which I figured would be a good start to world domination... but then they introduced a new major Business Analytics and I thought this would be an exciting new outlook on things! This new major has a lot to do with Computer Information Technology, Economics, and Business! I thought this would be more diverse and the way the world is becoming so techonologically advanced that this would be an even better way towards world domination haha!

Life is SO GOOD and change is even better. In only a couple more weeks I'll be starting my third semester of college and starting my new major! I have so many drafts that i'm waiting to publish so be patient more is coming!!
